UCLA Engineering Scholarships

Engineering Scholarship information is available through The Office of Academic and Student Affairs (OASA), which is located in 6426, Boelter Hall. 

A list of currently available scholarships is available for viewing here and is maintained by the Office of External Affairs. The majority of these scholarships will be listed on the HSSEAS Scholarship Program application (available Fall quarter only). Please note that scholarship availability, amount and criteria are subject to change without notice and are subject to fund verification.

The Scholarships listed below are open to currently enrolled undergraduate
students in the UCLA, Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science:

1) Please carefully read the criteria for EACH scholarship listed and verify you meet each requirement. 

2) Students are encouraged to visit the Scholarship Resource Center (SRC).  SRC holds workshops every quarter to help students with the application process for all types of scholarships.  SRC also assists students with their personal statements/essays.   

3) Class standing is determined by unit level:
        0 - 44.9 (Freshman)
        45 - 89.9 (Sophomore)
        90 - 134.9 (Junior)
        135 + (Senior)

  • HSSEAS 2009-2010 Scholarship Program - 09-10 Deadline Passed
    The 2009-2010 Scholarship Program deadline was Monday, November 2nd, 2009. Applications are currently being reviewed. We expect the process to take several weeks and hope to notify final recipients sometime in December.
     
  • Shivakumar Scholarship for 2009-2010 - Deadline: Nov 16, 2009
    This scholarship is for CS/CSE majors with research experience. 
    Please submit your on-line application to 6426 Boelter Hall. 
    Read the criteria carefully before you submit your application.
     
  • Stanley Black Memorial Scholarship- 08-09 Deadline Passed
    This scholarship is for service and leadership.  This scholarship is sponsored by the
    Jewish Community Foundation.  Please submit your on-line application to 6426 Boelter Hall. 
    Read the criteria carefully before you indicate you want to be considered for this scholarship.

Looking for scholarship information can be a tedious endeavor, but the rewards can be great. Your local library, high school or community college career center have information about Scholarships, Grants, and Loans.  Ask the UCLA Reference Librarian for assistance in locating appropriate material.

Current UCLA Students can visit the UCLA Scholarship Resource Center Page (SRC), located at 233 Covel Commons, serves as an information base and support service for students seeking scholarships.  The SRC is open to all UCLA students regardless of financial aid eligibility.  SRC provides workshops to assist UCLA students with the scholarship process.  Please visit their webpage, click here for more information or call (310)206-2875.  OASA highly recommends students attend a SRC workshop before applying for HSSEAS Scholarships.
